The story of the struggle, struggle to change the society for better, but could that "Utopia" truly be achieved? Can a system be changed without breaking its own protocols? What could be the effective catalyst? The fire within or the fire outside? So many unanswered questions and so many unsolved riddles. Raji is a photojournalist of a leading news agency in U.S.A. who comes to the village of "Mataguri", in the foothills of the Himalayas, far away from the reach of the civilazation. The place is a photographer’s delight, mostly inhabited by the local tribes and the colonies of tea plantation workers. One day, while Raji was busy capturing the gloomy sunset of the backdrop of this magnificently curved landscape, she discovers Maya, a tribal girl who she had heard was dead. Maya seems to disappear into a thin air after a few moments. Raji follows her trail in to the deep jungle when something hits hard on her head. Raji wakes up later in the night to find that she’s been captured by a group of rebles. The ‘system’ coined them as terrorists. A bunch of young guns, some of them are well educated; some of them are mere followers. Rudra Michael Hembram, an ex-teacher, is now their leader. Rundra’s group is fighting against the social and political injustice which has remained unaltered even so many years after the independence. Raji decides to move along with group comprising Maya, Duli, Vagirath Mahato, Birsha & Nilu to find out if it is a struggle to achieve freedom for these sons of the soil or is it a mere case of rebel without a cause. Laboratory (2010) Kolkata Movie First Look, Information Color: C Release Date: 26-11-2010 Language: Bangla Genre: Drama Director Cast Sabyasachi Chakraborty Story Synopsis Nandakishore, a scientist spends all his savings to build a modern laboratory with all the latest instruments so that he can carry out all his research work.He also marries an uneducated rusty Punjabi girl who is half if age called Sohini.Within a year of his marriage, Nandakishore dies while carrying out an experiment. But before he had passed away, he had made Sohini understand what the lab meant to him and an able person should run the lab in his absence and Sohini must see to that. Nandakishore and Sohini had a child Nila.As she grows up, Sohini shelters her extremely and also tries to find an able person to run the lab. Professor Manmatha Chaudhuri, an acquaintance refers Rebathi Bhattacharya, his ex student to her. She speaks to Rebathi and appoints him as the person in charge of the lab. However she asks her daughter to stay away from him as she wants Rebathi to be completely focused on the lab.Nila is also no ordinary girl and she uses all her womanly charms to win Rebathi over. From then on, it becomes a game of upmanship between the mother and the daughter. When Rebathi goes to Ambala for a few days, Nila seduces Rebathi one night and even wins him over. They decide to get married.Nila does all this because she wants her father’s property and she decides to go to court with this matter. She makes Rebathi the president of the local club and he decides to throw a party to celebrate the occasion. On the day of the party, Nila arrives at the party and asks Rebathi about the money in the lab account. He is unable to say anything as the party is being sponsored by the money from the lab account. Over there a group of four guys, one of them who is Rohit befriend thems.Rohit comes to know about Sunny and volunteers to find Sunny. It seems that Sathi used to like Sunny immensely who hailed from a very wealthy industry and her father was dead against their relationship and wanted to get her married to his friend’s daughter Julia. Sunny also loved Sathi immensely and decided to leave his house and go and join Sathi.On the day when he decides to leave everything and go and join Sathi, he meets with an accident and dies.Sathi refuses to believe that Sunny is no more. At Gorumora forest, Rohit gets close to Sathi, but she just can’t get Sunny out of her mind. Julia also appears there and appears to be close apparently to Sathi though that is not the actual case.Rohit tells Sathi that Sunny was a complete playboy and he was just using her. He was Rohit’s childhood friend. He also shows her many letters written by different girls to Sunny and also his pictures in compromising positions with them. She still refuses to believe him.Rohit gives her the photos and asks her to go to Kolkata and ask Sunny’s father. She goes to Kolkata and meets Sunny’s father who tells that that is the actual truth. The actual fact is Rohit, a friend of Julia had been sent there by Sunny’s father to make Sathi believe that Sunny was a bad guy so that she could lead a normal life though in reality everything was false and Sunny was a good guy and actually loved Sathi.Rohit had fallen in love with Sathi.She comes to know that Julia‘s boyfriend was actually one of Rohit’s friends.
